I'm 59 years old and just retired from the financial industry. One day I hope to figure out what I want to be when I grow up.

The amount of silence in the beginning caught me off guard.

I needed to hear that. The idea that just because it's not your dream, doesn't mean it's bad to work at something that pays the bills, it's important... But that it also doesn't mean you stop not trying to do the thing that you enjoy... Find work that will enable freedom to do what you enjoy, and not stress too much that your job is not directly what you enjoy.... But it's incredibly important no matter what you do, to avoid the impact of extreme unwarrented stress no matter how it manifests in our lives, the killer of mind, body, and soul. An avocation vs a vocation... Wonderful description. And the A. R. C. , That's going in the life lessons book. How the hell does Sisyphus nail the topic of the day so damn well... Creepy and cool how minds get hived together. Good topics and good guest.

The recording is really quiet. It would be worth fixing. I am interested in the topic.

hi, I'm great fan of your work here thank you very much for all of it. when your talk touched on how react to hate or suffering you see, from the personal level to the national, i thought of the poem "call me by my true names" which might be a way towards a solution, a view of how similar we are, and how we can engage with such complex polarizing social issues.

To figure out what to do, just do the hell out of something that you find rewarding and interesting, and do the hell out of that thing until either (A) you become great at it or (B) the thought of doing said thing makes you want to vomit. If (B), occurs, rinse and repeat.

I don't want to piss, I want to finish this. But my body won't let me. I don't have freedom from my body.
