About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in (1997) and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon.

Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013.

I feel like I’m at a dystopian carnival when I listen to this song.

You know when you look back at a time when you were actually happy, young with no worries? But, those memories have aged. It's difficult to remember that feeling, due to age, current worries and just things fade with time. That's kinda how this song feels. It's definitely a happy melody in the background but, it sounds frayed and obscured. If the frontman intentionally wrote this to sound like blurred happiness, then the man captured that emotion perfectly and is nothing short of a genius.

Hermoso final, no puedo creer lo infravalorado que esta 13. El mejor disco de Blur de lejos. Un 100

The only thing I think of when it comes to this song is pure nostalgia, both of the 90s and my early years, but also of me discovering it/rediscovering it back in the Autumn/Winter of 22 in my old place, I miss the people there so much and this song always makes me cry when this song plays as I always think of them

What if this track is a time machine? This is the last time blur wrote about english lifestyle, sterotypes and its people, like they did in parklife, modern life is rubbish and the great escape. Someone here said it is like they're cementing the end of this music theme. But hearing this track... what if we entered a tunnel where at the end of it it's... The Good, The Bad & The Queen? Obviously, not saying Damon did this on purpose back then in 1999. But think of it. At least a "You'll hear this once again in the future, I promise".

La forma en que Optigan 1 cierra el álbum... ¡uf! Es un deleite tras todo este viaje llamado 13.
