About Blur:
Blur were formed in 1989 by Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree and signed with Food/EMI the same year. Announcing their arrival with debut album Leisure in 1991, Blur continued to revolutionise the sound of English popular music with second release Modern Life Is Rubbish (1993). Five successive UK #1 albums followed - with Parklife (1994) and The Great Escape (1995) helping to propel the band to mass popularity in the UK and beyond. The eponymous Blur was released in (1997) and seventh album Think Tank (2003) was Blur’s first as a three-piece after the temporary departure of founding guitarist Graham Coxon.

Twenty one years after the release of their debut album, 2012 saw Blur 21: The Box, the band's body of work compiled and gathered together into one box. Their most recent release as a four-piece, the critically acclaimed chart-topping album The Magic Whip (2015), started life in Hong Kong when the band had an unexpected break in touring in May 2013.

This song sounds like they left Sing inside a cupboard after Leisure was released and then found it years later all disfigured and mutated with all sorts of fungi and shit growing on it.

A drowned guitar, a distant chorus, white noise. The feelings, those memories of this album, my childhood. Somehow my past is now distant, I don't know where I'm going to, but this song will always remind me of my essence

Although this song was demoed in 1992 it sums up Blurs position perfectly during that year. On a long tour in the States to pay debts, internal friction, losing momentum in the UK, drinking heavily and nearly being cut by food records. They came through it thank God but reminds me of those stormy times. It was Damon's belief that pulled them through. One of their darkest but best songs imho.

Blur is always special to me. This album came out when I was entering high school and I played the hell out of it.

I remember this album as a stand out 90s psychedelic masterpiece. This song , with It's melancholy moodiness and apathetic alienation, it really pulls you in. I find myself listening on repeat. Timeless gem.

This song is an audio recording of watching the end of the most wonderful thing you will ever know in your life.

I love this, it captures that feeling of being "off balance" really well.

This is the toughest song in the album to get through (not in the "it's boring" sense, rather in the "it's fucked up" sense). It somehow feels longer than it is, yet it doesn't get boring. It's a mix of sad, intense, abrasive, and beautiful.

Going into business An agreement of your bombast You'd love my bed You took the other instead But don't you feel low I was being oblique And you'd love my bed You got the other instead What do you owe me The price of your piece of mind You'd love my bed You took it all instead

Today, in 2018, I still have goosebumps listen to this song which I put myself twice to listen to it. The album was the best in 1999. I miss William Orbit works with the great bands and artists
