"Fame is a fickle thing Harry." Right before Harry is outed as a parseltongue and bullied throughout throughout the school only to be lauded after he saves Ginny, then third year when he faints at dementors and gets bullied again but wins Quidditch and is a big deal again. Then the rollarcoaster of public opinion that haunts Harry through 4th/5th/6th year. IDK Lockhart had a very good point there.

I think the point with moaning myrtle is that kids donât go there because sheâs veryâŚ. Annoying, not necessarily scary. Also she tells people what students do in her bathroom all the time so itâs not really private either.

Lockhart was way younger in the books... They just made everyone old in the movies (Snape, Lockhart, Marauders..)
