I'm so happy to have stumbled upon this song, and the choice of the video is perfect. In fact, I couldn't resist finding out further into its origins. The video is from the film "Postman Blues," but I noticed that most synopses I came across didn't explain the woman's role in the story. I decided to watch the movie myself and put together her part while leaving out the Yakuza/Police part.
The story unfolds as the letter carrier (Ryuichi Sawaki) ends up opening and reading a letter sent by a woman, setting off a chain of events. Realizing the significance of the letter, he resolves to deliver it. However, upon discovering that the intended recipient had moved, he makes the choice to track down the sender instead. His journey leads him to a hospital where he encounters the sender, Sayoko Kitagawa, a woman battling cancer with limited time left to live.
In the midst of their unique circumstances, a tender romance blossoms between them, and together, they embark on joyful adventures, savoring life's simple pleasures. However, their moments together are tinged with melancholy, knowing the inevitable.
In a promise, he vows to return the next day, but an unfortunate mix-up with the Yakuza and the police turns him into a nationwide fugitive, wrongfully accused of murder and drug trafficking. Tragically, he meets his end when shot by the police just outside the hospital.
Yet, a remarkable twist occurs as Sayoko appears, taking his hand. Together, they walk off with smiles. It turns out that Sayoko had already passed away in the hospital, and they now walk together as spirits, sharing an eternal connection that transcends life and death.

I love the comment sections of this kinda songs. Everybody sharing their experiences, sad, happy, euphoric, melancholic -- every kind of experience. Some of them, you can relate to on a very personal level. Some of them gives you hopes and something to hold onto. Beautiful exchange of human emotions. I love it here!

I met a girl, I fell in love with her. We were together for 7 and a half years. Then she sort of grew apart from me. And now I've taken a few decisions in life those have brought me to a different city.
It's safe to say that I've flipped the page over but this song makes me feel like it'll just be a matter of seconds for me to flip it back again. She will always be the tragedy and the cure.

My wife left me after 7 years of marriage. From the very beginning, I was thinking that we would get old together and would love each other until our last breath. Thought that love brings only good feelings. But now I understand that it is a package of thousands of different feelings. It has happiness, joy, excitement and meanwhile sadness, pain and heartbreak. Still going through a lot of pain, still waiting for her…
Sitting at my work desk all alone. Didn't even realize that tears were running down. A wonderful song that spoke to my heart. January 3, 2023

Oh, you and I
Held our hands, told the time
Oh, you and I
Is it the way you and I wait?
My only, my only you
Oh, you and I
Is it the way you and I stay?
Oh, you and I
In my mind, you were mine
My only, my only you
All that I'd ever see all that I'd ever believe is through All that I'd ever see all that I'd ever believe is blue
Oh, you and I
Held our hands, told the time
Oh, you and I
It's all the same now, You were mine
My only, my only you

I lost my lil brother to cancer last year and this was one of the songs he shared on his Facebook. He always used to listen to this type of music. When he was alive I didn't really ask him often how he is, if he was doing okay and things like that. But now that I think about it, he probably was lonely and depressed a lot of the times. Check on your loved ones yo

I’m 21, originally from Greece based in the UK. No family, no friends here. Just me and my passion for arts.
Here, I met him a year ago. I fell in love with an Indian guy, eleven years older than me, that he was planning to return to his home country no matter what. I kept a relationship with him for a year, in secret. I received so much love and I could not share it. I’ve got so much love I don’t know what to do with it sometimes.
Today I said goodbye to him. I said goodbye to the house where we spent a year alone together . I said goodbye to touch. I said goodbye to smiles. I believe, the feeling of separation can kneel you down at once.
He told me he wants to come back for me. I’m only scared, I can’t wait, I don’t believe in promises. I want to be able to shout that I’m in love, it’s so simple, but why I’m not doing it? I’m so young, and the only thing I do now is to show my trust to the universe.
I want to connect, I want to love, I want to have hope.
Have hope that my future self will heal.
