This band always reminds me of my freshman year of college because one of my friends at the time showed this band to me. I have vivid memories of us smoking outside our dorm late at night and then chilling in one of our rooms, listening to music and drawing. He ended up having a bad acid trip that negatively affected his mental state during the beginning of second semester (right before COVID hit), and ended up abruptly leaving back to New York. I felt a little betrayed by him not giving me a proper goodbye. The odd thing is, he was very private about his personal life, and we didn't even know what his real first name was. Once he was gone, he completely just disappeared.
It made me learn that short term friendships can have a great impact on you, and that it's okay to let go of them if it's time for you to move on.
So yeah, I listen to this band every one in a while and it brings back good memories of a friend.
