I think the master chief plushie constantly faceplanting over and over no matter how many chances you gave it until you just got frustrated, gave up, and went back to a reach figure is accidentally super poetic to the state of the franchise ever since 343i took over tbh.

Crackpot idea, but I'd love it if 343 hosted a map making competition every few months or so, that tasked players with making a map based around a certain theme or gamemode and then the winners get incorporated into the official map rotation.

I'm just at the point where I can't get excited like I used to, it's going to take a lot for me to get as excited about Halo as I was this time last year. That being said there's a lot of promising things in this update an beyond. We'll see what the future holds.

I don't think this update is going to save the game or be absolutely massive, but it's definitely going to breathe some new life into the game

Reach was not just a good game, it was a great game. Iāve legitimately never understood why it gets such a bad rep with a lot of fans, I put it right up there with the trilogy. And yes, Iāve been a fan since the beginning

Iām excited for the Winter Update! Iām just going to be happy to play the campaign with my family, maybe make some forge maps, and enjoy some fun customs and whatnot
Halo Infinite is slowly but surely becoming a more compelling product, I feel like this is a big step, but not necessarily something that will get non-halo fans interested right away
Very interested to see what 2023 has in store for Halo

I was holding on to split screen co-op. That broken promise set me really far back. And the fact that the person who made that promise is no longer at 343... I'm not sure it will ever happen.

I personally donāt think the Winter Update will be the āmake or breakā update on its own. I think that will come when we have the Winter Updateās content + Season 3ās day 1 content. I definitely do think this update is a massive step in the right direction though.

With the previous leaders gone, I'm feeling a lot less like that disgruntled Elite. Knowing the people who fixed up MCC are working on Infinite now, specifically the winter update and then on, I'm optimistic. They had a clear vision with MCC for the most part, and I feel they'll do a faithful job again.

I canāt believe infinite has been out for a year. I have barely any memories playing it and I completed the first battle pass and 75% through the second š

There were legit criticizms of Reach at the time really because it was all of Halo 3's features but tuning the gameplay to be more "modern" with that times console shooters. Little did we know we were in for 10 years and 3 titles of cutting out those origional features and the gameplay creeping farther and farther into the half in half out copycat gameplay.

As someone whoās played Both Destiny games and has played both since the betas. I have hope for infinite, like I can see the potential in whatās to come, they just need to prioritise what the community actually wants.
For me personally, as soon as they add: Custom Game Browser, Forge, fix Custom Games and add File Share, the game will be enough for me.

Kinda weird they didn't mention The Pit remake that's coming to the game. They did a big "world premiere" thing for it like three weeks ago. I expected some kind of mention of it. Guess it's not coming with these other two maps for some reason. :(

The File share system was actually in the game day one there were just no files to share. One of the 1st things that I'm going to do when forge comes out, is make a predator Map and mode on the marshlands
