Sat through Ruby of Blue's dev stream yesterday for H2:Rebalanced. More good stuff is in the works, though it might be a 2023 thing. H3 Captain helmets, fully drivable troop shadow, and drivable covie artillery were some cool things that were showcased. For my own mod idea, I'd want a Dreadnought/Keyship level to start off Halo 3, bridging the gap in a way that was NOT left for an okay tie-in comic. Something that ties in Mendicant Bias as well. Key points: - Pick up immediately where 2 left off, with Chief sneaking through Keyship while Lord Hood gets him up to speed. - Ship is triangular shape, with thick forerunner glass separating the multitier perimeter corridors from the central shaft - Central shaft gives you a glimpse of a large Forerunner construct with 3 lights, which seems to follow you wherever you go. Maybe re-use the Cold Storage monitor?? - Catch up to speed with Covies. Grunts complain about new Brute masters. Drones tinker. Truth sermons. - See brutes don new power armor, with a War Chieftain armor on display but not yet worn. Set up for later. - Reverse boarding party! Hood sends 2 ODST squads to enter the ship with supplies. - Reunite with the AR after its H2 absence. - Find terminal that scans you, but says nothing. Screen glitches slightly. Start of the annoying Cortana hallucinations. - Squads split up, trying to find a way into the central room. - Hear other squad getting slaughtered over the coms by gravity hammer. - Make way to main chamber with Truth. Come face to face with new brute War Chieftain and bodyguards (maybe imply it's the same one in the Covenant mission?) - Rest plays out similar to how it does in the comics.
