This is a song I wrote for Flora. I had been listening to a lot of Andean and Latin American music at the time which might have rubbed off. The tune emerged from a little guitar melody I had been playing around with for a while. The lyrics emerged a fair while later. I have always been inspired by the way Oscar Wilde personified seasons and animals and processes in some of his short stories so itâs possible that this influence may have also worked its way in somehow.

This made me think about the moon and sun being together in the sky and painting a harmonious pattern with the light and shadow parts compared to trying to destroy one another for their oppositions. We would not be able to come together if we were not also far apart.
