I played speedrunners with my brothers so often back when it first came out. I love this game.

Might be a hot take. But it think guilty gear's "style" of storytelling is the better way for fighting games to have a bigger/denser narrative without having to either create a new type of gameplay that complements it or force fights at random intervals that destroy the pacing.
Otherwise, speedrunners is excellent, i rembember playing it a lot with my friends

I remember waking up at 6 every weekend to play this with my friends until 10 in the morning when I was 13. And since we all got it as an free Xbox gold game, we all got better alongside each other. Those matches were probably some of the most fun and intense games I’ve ever played and this video really made me miss playing xbox in the morning with my friends.
