I was told once that "if it's on the internet, it will always be on the internet" but what I find is that entropy and the internet dark forest theory creates a reality where old stuff is becoming exponentially more difficult to find with every year that passes
Pretty sobering to think about
If a guy through a dead forum complains about Gon, but no one is there to read his post, did he complain at all?

In a sense, I guess they were banned from T3 for the same reason chess tournaments have dress codes. It's not that playing a grandmaster match wearing an ahegao hoddie is unfair or cheating, it's that it's not in the spirit of the game. What that "spirit of the game" is is what's open to interpretation and has some people foaming at the mouth over the mere existence of Happy Chaos, while others simply accept it. Where that line gets drawn is always going to be somewhat arbitrary, and is going to change over time.

7:45 Anyone that is a fan of Maximilian knows about Biofreaks, also I was today years old when I learned about a slur that's been around since the Korean War. Thanks I guess Leon.

Great video! I have fond memories of playing Dr. B back in the day.
These two characters getting banned makes me think of the ban on wobbling. At the time, I thought it was a stupid decision. Nerfing a character that was almost a non-presence at major tournaments struck me as just whiny players being whiny. But at the end of the day, a game needs to be fun.
I remember there was a lot of talk about Eddy & Christie's b14 in Tekken Tag 2. People defended it by saying that it was possible, with tons and tons of practice against that specific move, it could be overcome. Kind of. But did that make the characters fun to fight against? Or negate the fact that it took almost no effort to cheese b14 combos but tons of effort and concentration to counter them? Maybe not.
It's a difficult one. There have been numerous online Keyforge tournaments that banned Heart of The Forest despite many other cards being more powerful, but people just straight up despise that card and the restrictions it forces on both gameplay and deck selection.
It doesn't matter how much you can point fingers at people being whiny. If all those people stop playing and the game dies, is that the better outcome?

The way you tell these stories is absolutely phenomenal. Honestly, i go back and re-watch so many of your videos just to see the funny animations and listen to these great stories told in such an interesting way. Taking the knowledge and making a fun story out of it, or a lesson, or something else always makes my day better when i listen and watch your content. Keep doin what your doin, its great!

Great video Leon!
There is something about the design of older fighting games that I kind of miss.
Things being less intended for the competitive scene, but said scene adapts anyway and the weird revelations that come along the way.
the weird awkward characters that play fast and loose tend to be a lot of fun to explore and play.

I just want to apologise for this video taking so long. In reality it wasn't THIS video that took 5 months, this was more around 9 weeks - coming off of several months of videos that just weren't any good at all. I would hope, and also expect, that to be the longest period without an upload ever. I am still alive, yes I am bald, I've been bald for an entire year now please stop coming into my stream and asking why/when I went bald.
