Our chicks got big enouhh to go to the coop.
Granfson's favorite....told him NOT to put on the ground yet, till we were inside....
"Oh...he needs down" the minite down the cat raced over, snatched, and ran off.
He cried so loudš¢

Chicks are so cute but not for long š¢.
The dust from chicks was a surprise. We set up 25 meat š„ in our garage in a small box trailer many years ago. Dust settled everywhere and was even getting into the house. The next year we got them later so they went out sooner.

I ordered mine day olds at the feed store and they were 100% accurate. Even the mix birds were about 50/50. They only started to died because I didn't notice the meat birds were eating all the feed. All in all I was happy with my order.

Thanks for the info! I would like to get some extra chickens this year, but I think I prefer to get some older ones, then newborns, so they can get outside straight away.
