What a tragically underrated guitarist...

"the day is okay, and the sun can be fun, but I live to see those rays slip away" Hearing this song takes me back.

I love cruising around on summer nights with the windows down listening to this song, just like I did back when it first came out.

Thanks for this clip. Blue Oyster Cult are an American Treasure. Totally original and groundbreaking in every aspect of their music. Way ahead of the pack. Buck is simply the Greatest. NOBODY comes close to his virtuosity and melodic playing. This band is timeless.

The extra verse is: "Now I never rise until the sun falls, and my vision knows no walls. I'm looking for ladies walking alone. They forget the day, when they hear me say I Love The Night."

Such a fantastic love ballad! This is Blue Oyster Cults best tune! I listen to this song with tears in my eyes!

I’m glad they started playing some deep cuts from years ago. For the true fan, nothing is as sweet as hearing a song you’ve been listening to on vinyl for 30 years finally played live.

The first time I heard BOC was in 72 when my friend bought their first album because of the artwork. We listened to the whole album and I was hooked. The vocals and the guitars was what got me. I've been their fan ever since. They just get better but the first album will always be my favorite. They are unique.

BOC is the most talented American rock band bar none. Buck is the best American guitarist. They (the original line up with the Bouchard brothers) could more than hold their own against anyone. Certainly the most unique band and they excelled at any type of rock n roll they recorded. Never really made a bad album. Should be in the R&RHOF because they are totally what rock n roll is about.

I love the night is surely the best slow rock song of all time. I never get tired of hearing it and and the beautiful guitar work and vocals/lyrics are some of the tastiest music that you"ll ever hear!

I saw them a several times but they never played this live when I saw them! Ahhh, BOC! Straight ahead 70s rock pre-PC sensorship when rock was loud but eclectic, cars loud & fast, you could tell a girl she was hot (or a fox!) and not be considered an "attack on women", we worked hard, earned our way & played even harder! Thanks for sharing this killer clip. Peace out my felloe Rock & Roll refugees!

I love this song it reminds me of great summer nights riding around Lake Fairlee, VT with my brother Eric and a bunch  of camp  girls in the back of his old scout. We listened to BOC all night.I hope to see BOC in concert some day. Thank you . SB God Bless

Incredible band. Seen them many times. Their music had more meaning and was always so deep. No two albums sounded exactly the same. A rarity in any band's catalogue. Buck's great! RIP, Allen.
