The thing about beach house for me personally. Is their songs make me feel this weird sense of yearning. Their songs do this to me by making me feel lonely but at the same time so comfortable. Most songs from them i find that the lyrics are relatable to me. Most of the time i find that the lyrics aren't quiet something specific of a narrative. But something culted together to sell the mood and feeling of the song IMO. I aint Victoria and Alex. So i could be wrong about their intentions.

There's no bad album or single this band released. Nothing. Every album evolves into a much more complex compilation of records. If you have the time to listen back to their very first album which was “Apple Orchard” up to the very latest albums, you'll know what I mean.

the irony of this title.. when i was a kid, around 3 or younger, my mom made this lullaby playlist for me on an old 2007 ipod. it turns out i had a lot of trouble going to sleep in silence, and growing older, beach house became one of my favorites to listen to on the playlist. i loved humming myself to sleep with it, listening to new releases with my mom the times they'd come on the radio, etc. i hate that i don't appreciate her more. thank you, mom. i love you.
