I once rode my bike in the middle of a rainstorm while listening to this song and it became a memory that I will forever cherish. The clouds were like no other and I could feel my soul sighing with comfort as every raindrop landed on my face. With the mixture of the rain and clouds and dim street lights, it felt like I was in a moment where time didn't exist.

This song feels like somber acceptance. Like you've known so much heartbreak, loss, loneliness and pain. And now you're standing by your bedroom window, coffee in hand, watching all the people you'll never know and who'll never know you going about their lives, with all their own pains and heartbreaks. And it's here you take a deep breath, gaze out as far as you can see, and gently breathe out. And you settle within yourself "Okay... this is how things are... I can't change things that were... this is life and this is mine... and I'm okay..."

this is the type of song that justifies that one big event you missed out on and wish you could go back to visit it.

Day to day, it won't leave Everytime, I try to speak It consumes my mind It consumes my soul It wants my life it wants complete control Somebody help me before it's bad Somebody help me before I end up dead I feel alone, all of the time It's still quite, lurking inside I'm a walking contradiction Everything I say is an affliction to him Somebody help me before it's bad Somebody help me before I end up dead

This is one of those songs that I can listen to on repeat without getting tired of it. I loop this one for hours and hours and it still hits like the first time. Nice.

These kinds of videos are gemmes especially because of their comments ; people simply kind, sad or helpful โ€“ but each time human, authentic and honest. Always a place of intimate contemplation, of sad warmth, comforting and embalming, but full of nostalgia and indescribable sadness.

Me and my girlfriend of almost 6 years would listen to music as we layed in bed or drove around, this is one of those songs im reluctant to play most of the time because of the memories associated with it. We're on good terms, just life got heavy for her and i respected her choice, no matter how much it hurts some days. This song truly does give me a feeling of somber acceptance like the top comments says, coupled with all the memories.

A strange feeling washes over you as you listen to this song. It seems like you enjoy it; you're savoring the melody, singing along to "It consumes my mind, it consumes my soul..." And you even delve into the essence of the lyrics, beginning to realize that the song is about you. After all, there's a turmoil of uncertainty, contradiction, and a sense of being lost in your soul too. But just as you immerse yourself in your thoughts, the composition comes to an end, that prolonged, cutting sound. The song stops abruptly. You fall silent, frozen in place... and hit repeat. And off you go on another round, a round of self-discovery, a round of sorrow and joy, disappointment and heartfelt enchantment. A circle that is, in fact, you.

This song is the literal feeling of acceptance, the moment you realize you can't change what you've done whatever you do or say

I remember listening to this song at my lowest point in life. I was 15 years old, and going through a lot. Listening to it now just reminds me of those times. It feels like a fever dream that never happened. Iโ€™ve changed a lot since then, and I just wanna give 15 year old me a long hug as this song plays.

this is the song that I listened to during my lowest moment in life and to this day I never listened to this after I came out of it and got a bit better. I was feeling quite melancholy earlier today and starting playing arbitrary music while my thoughts would race pestering me about the past and that certain era. I haven't listened to this song for a couple months; this song began to play and once I heard I actually felt sick. this is no exaggeration I generally felt physically ill however it also felt right - as though I'd deserved it. I had a full breakdown after it and honestly feel like I'm back where I was a couple months ago and this time it's the person that saved me from that depression that pushed me down here.

This is is literally watching your life flash before your eyes as one, long and beautiful memory. It's sooo somber but so hopeful.
