List of amazing things about this song:
The artwork for the video
The bombastic, epic arrangement
The fact that Lydia is just as good at singing for good princesses as she is for villain princesses
The emotion in the singing
The high notes
The fact that this is the best part of the Aladdin remake
The singing in general
The differences between this cover and the original, making neither of them obsolete
Yeah, I enjoyed the song

I’m very interested to hear Lydia sing this. I kinda have a love/hate relationship with this musical number. The song itself is pretty great, but its context… Well, it’s just fake women empowerment, cause, you know, Jasmine sings about not breaking down and crying while breaking down and almost screaming in hysteria, and then she basically does nothing powerful for the plot. She speaks up to the captain of the guards, which gets him imprisoned, and then she says no at the altar, and that’s it. Not exactly what the song was promising, it’s too strong for this storyline. And Lydia’s Jasmine from the Villain song literally seemed more powerful than the one from the movie… So, I’m gonna bet that this is going to be good)

Jasmine is a boss and anyone who says otherwise doesn’t get to sit on my side of the playground. It’s the side with the hopscotch too so you’re really missing out 😎😏 STREAM THIS SONG HERE - distrokid.com/hyperfollow/lydiathebard/speechless-…
