I always feel so bad for bret when he talks about owen, owen really was his best friend. But at the same time Iβm glad that bret has all these happy and funny stories to tell about owen, because it helps strengthen the legacy of owen and how he was truly one of the few good guys in a business that had next to none

Kevin Nash's best match he ever had was with Bret Hart. Hands down. Nothing against Kevin or anything but Bret could've had a competitive looking match with a broomstick, and the broom would've got over at the end of it. He was just that damn good. Once in a generation wrestler. Superb talent and a good dude too!

I agree with Bret, I also was more about the worker wrestler being my favorite. Give me a hard and good worker and a guy good on the mic, and I'm sold. I never liked guys like Warrior was never believable to me. One of my all time favorites is Curt Henning, I watched him start as a kid in A.W.A.

At around the two hour mark Bret is talking about his match at Wimbley with Davey. I remember how great that match was and this isn't a knock at all but I remember another match Davey had which I thought was before the Wimbley match where a newly broken away Shawn Michaels who had been a tag team wrestler exclusively up until that point was challenging him for the IC belt. Davey had been with the company for some time through the mid 80's and was also getting a singles push around that time after having been one half of a very iconic tag team. They put on a clinic and Davey and Shawn during that match if memory serves went nearly 30 minutes and both did a standing dropkick that at that time were two of the best I had ever seen with the exception of perhaps Barry Windham and maybe the Rock n Roll Express though Shawn's looked like he had stolen it from Ricky Morton. I won't argue that the Wimbley match should have put Davey in that higher tax bracket but for reasons Bret mentions here, it didn't. Bret, Sid, Taker, Shawn and an up and coming Steve Austin some time after this would have that top tier and usher in the attitude era and poor Davey would be a footnote on the undercard. Davey had left and gone to ECW then Eastern Championship Wrestling for a cup of coffee in 92' and by January of 93' showed up in WCW briefly though it became apparent very quickly for Davey that WCW was a mess and they had no idea how to use him. He went from being a major star in his debut to being Sting's partner in tags a few weeks in and then to not really being factored into any main event storylines thereafter. He very quickly would leave WCW and eventually after going home to Britain would return to the WW(F)E in 94' where he stayed until the Montreal Screw Job. where he once again left for WCW following Bret at this point. Once again WCW would prove to be a huge mistake. When discussions come up of who is the biggest star who never held that big belt, Davey is often forgotten now but there was a time in late 80's and early 90's when he not only was a well-respected worker in the ring but also had one of the best looks for those giants of the time. He was over in the late 80's and the British Bulldogs in large part to Davey's tag partner but also due to Davey's work as well are one of the top 20 tag teams of all-time. Some would even consider them a solid argument for the top 10 list. Thanks for reading and God Bless.
