This has happened tome so many times, and I try to wake myself up and can’t move…I scream and it’s like I’m not screaming. Good to know the steps I can take to just mentally know…that I’ll be fine.

I usually get so bored in mines if nothing interesting happens so I just go back to sleep. I tried to speak to certain things but eh. Nothing good came from it.

Can confirm, if you recognize it is sleep paralysis makes it easier to relax and just let it pass.

Interesting timing for this upload! I had a dream a night ago where I fell down in the dream, and then I felt a weight come over me like a blanket and it put me in sleep paralysis! I thought it was odd because well I'm already in the dream why would I need to have sleep paralysis in the dream. I got annoyed by this and tried to escape which literally put me in a 3 dream loop of waking up in sleep paralysis over and over again. I even felt myself fall out of bed in one of the loops lol. Interesting experience though.

He starts off the bat by confusing sleep paralysis with REM atonia. What he describes here at the beginning is REM atonia. Sleep paralysis is being awake while experiencing REM atonia, and this is not something that the average person is likely to experience. I will say that what he describes about trying to move and becoming scared is the same kind of thing that happens for someone trying to wake themselves up from a nightmare if they fail, as waking up is dream control. Perception is everything in experiences like this. I really hate the mind awake language, as the goal is to fall asleep, so you're not awake, but aware of transitioning into a dream. Yay, we've got WILD misinformation here. WILD doesn't require you to lay completely still or in any specific position, two common misconceptions that get spread around quite frequently.

I can feel sleep Paralysis coming on.... It feels like I can hear the electricity in the so air. It wakes me up out of my sleep at this point. I'm almost 40.... Haven't had an episode with a shadow figure in a very, very Long time. Its like i can sense them...whatever they are. In a strange way, i almost miss them. Is that weird?

People who suffer from sleep paralysis need to start real meditation, that will end their suffering from paralysis.
