A truly JOKES story, I went in to write with Joe for the first time ever and was just feeling super uninspired - Joe then told me a story about his awkward middle aged monosyllabic driving instructor who that morning had told Joe about a housewife he was teaching to drive who had recently confessed her love to him. We ended up writing this weird vocoder song trying to imagine how she would feel about his rejection. It was super fun and we wrote it in like an hour and then recorded it quickly and literally the demo from the day is exactly how it is in the EP, dodgy vocoder solo and all! Hope you like it xxx

I really love this song. It's amazing that it doesn't bother me that at 1:37 she sings a major 6 while the chord has a minor 6. Whether or not it was a mistake doesn't matter, because it sounds cool! Metaphoric actually, considering the conflicting emotions the song is portraying.
