This feels like a song about growing up. The whole world has changed for the worse and isnt like it was back in the day. Not just because "life was better as a kid" but the world is no longer the way you are used to it being. I'll be 25 this year and I'm feeling that generational shift (like it hasn't changed dramatically in the last 5-10 years anyway). Im sure that feeling wont be getting old any time soon.

This reminds me of the "do you ever want to get in the car and just go, disappear". Sometimes, we get fed up with the monotony of everyday life, a life where we don't quite fit in. A life where we live to work, not work to live. We crave something...different, and despite the feelings we have, those closest to us are happy with the status quo and would rather that we not reach for something more fulfilling, because they fear they'll lose us. In reality, once we reach that point, we are almost always already lost. We all need growth. A purpose.

"Sick of Your Opinions" couldn't be more timely in 2022. I feel as if I'm being barraged every day by the meanness of others all because I have a different idea/opinion/belief than them. If I believe x, y, or z, then I'm "evil." If I don't believe a, b, or c, then I'm "evil." This song illustrates the pain, fear, and frustration I feel constantly--even around those I call my friends. I typically stay as quiet as I can about my opinions, hide myself and what I believe under an umbrella just so I don't get rained on... It is very refreshing to hear a song that captures all of that and to know that others are sick of this divisiveness too.
