My wife had a health scare a couple of weeks ago. We saw a few doctors and they all scared us half to death. I knew in my mind she's young and healthy, but of course my mind loves being vicious. And it did not hold back. In the midst of it all, I really felt like I was supposed to right down what I was feeling. So I did. And it was so painful I can't even explain it. By the grace of God, tests results were good and Tiffany's okay. I always struggle putting songs out that feel "Hopeless." But something in me felt like I should share it. So here it is. My favorite thing about music is you can interpret it many different ways from the original intent. That is what makes songs like this so impactful and meaningful. Iโll say, I used this in my DnD campaign during a key dramatic moment, a major NPC death. It basically had the NPC using the very last of his strength not to fight, but simply to tell his wife that he loved her, even as she begged him not to go. Needless to say many tears were shed that day.

I love how one can clearly hear that you really mean everything you write. Your songs are powerful in their own kind of way and its beautiful even though (or because!) many songs remind me of the darker sides of life.
