Heads Hands & Feet was a British rock and country rock band.[1] It was formed in 1969 after the breakup of Poet and the One Man Band,[2] which included some of the same members.

Lyrics:

I would sing my rescitation
of organdy and gown
I can feel my hesitation
slowly breaking down
A song for Suzie
that plays on my mind
A poem for Lucy
Changes with time

You will colour my picture
by as much as you need
I may paint you a little brighter
than you really have been

A song for Suzie
that plays on my mind
A poem for Lucy
Changes with time

So for Suzie I'm praying
for the peace of your mind
and for Lucy I'm staying here
in the circus of rhyme

A song for Suzie
(Don't let your light)
Don't let your light burn down, oh
A poem for Lucy
(Wait till your time)
Wait till your time comes round
-Instrumental break-

So for Suzie I'm praying
for the peace of your mind
and for Lucy I'm staying right here
in the circus of rhyme

A song for Suzie
(Don't let your light)
Don't let your light burn down
A poem for Lucy
(Wait till your time)
Wait till your time..time comes round

Wow! I’m 69 and I have never heard that before. One of my best friends, Suzy, was one of the first to contract Covid and suffered for almost 3 months before she passed. Very sad.

No one guards more treasures from progressive rock music than the Beat-Club. And all the bands played live! Thx to Mike Leckebusch (RIP) und Uschi Nerke. btw Uschi Nerke turned 80 on January 14, 2024. Rock on, Babe.

That telecaster has a glorious tone. And played so beautifully, no fancy fret work, just played with feeling on a par with Mark knopfler.

Jesus Christ, I discovered this band here on this channel, but somehow I didn't see this footage before. There is so much soul in here, and truth on the way these guys play this song, and the Hammond organ guy sings it, that unfortunelly we don't see nowadays such a powerful, soulful and truthful performance like this one.

I also love this tele tone with more mids. The studio version has one of the best structured and performed melodic leads ever recorded.

This song was on their self titled debut double album in 1971. It also contained their most famous song Country Boy, which Albert still performs in concert today.
