Heads Hands & Feet was a British rock and country rock band.[1] It was formed in 1969 after the breakup of Poet and the One Man Band,[2] which included some of the same members (see Members below).

Heads Hands & Feet recorded their debut album, Home From Home, in 1970. Initially shelved by their label, it was finally released in 1996.

In 1971, their proper debut release, Heads Hands & Feet, was released as a single-disc record in Europe on Island Records, and as a double album in the United States on the Capitol Records label.[1]

While still relatively unknown, they served as the supporting act for Deep Purple's series of concerts from 5 to 8 March 1971 in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Dundee, and Aberdeen, Scotland.[3] They were the opening act at a free concert in London's Hyde Park on 3 July 1971, which also featured Humble Pie and Grand Funk Railroad.[4][5]

In 1972, the band toured the United States.[6] Their second album, Tracks, received some critical acclaim.[1] But internal tensions in the band resulted in a break-up in December 1972, before the group's third release, Old Soldiers Never Die, in 1973.

"Heads Hands & Feet, a great British country-rock band featuring the fantastic guitarist Albert Lee, known for his fingerstyle and hybrid picking technique. During his time playing with Heads Hands & Feet, Lee became a "guitar hero", playing his Fender Telecaster at breakneck speed. Heads Hands & Feet became a popular live band in the UK, making appearances on The Old Grey Whistle Test and also in Europe, where they appeared on the German music program Beat-Club in October 1969. Other bands & projects that Lee has been involved in are.. John Prine, Rosanne Cash, Emmylou Harris and the Hot Band, Eric Clapton, Chris Farlowe and the Thunderbirds, Country Fever tour, Green Bullfrog, The Crickets, Bill Wyman's Rhythm Kings, Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Earl Scruggs, Ricky Scaggs, Joe Cocker, Nicolette Larson, Rodney Crowell, Dolly Parton, Everly Brothers, Brad Paisley, Jackson Browne & many others!"

Great stuff! Closer in sound and spirit to country rockers like Brinsley Schwarz, Seatrain & Rockpile than more trad folk rockers Fairport Convention, but beautifully played & sung! Too bad they didnā€™t stay together.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE upload Rory Gallaghers Crest of a Wave. Im tired of finding only poor quality bootlegs of the performance. It deserves to be on the channel, its brilliant / better than the album version.

Funny to see Chas Hodges in the band in his pre-Dave days. Albert Lee such a great guitarist! There must be a list somewhere of underrated guitarists - Albert would be on mine. (And Eric Clapton would be top of my list of overrated guitarists!!)

1975? I thought Beat Club has finished by 1973? I believe Heads Hands & Feet also stopped recording in '73?
