I can't believe this! My dad got this CD bundled when he bought our first CD player. A Sony from Makro. Must have been '89 or '90. I spent half of the day to travel to Roels for buying a decent cassette tape - spending a few weeks worth of pocket money. I was not allowed to come close to his sound system, but somehow managed to record this album and played it for the next few years on my walkman. I was familiar with Vangelis and JM Jarre but this CD is where I first heard Crockett's Theme. It was many years later I watched my first Miami Vice episode.

J'ai été bercé par ce genre de musique. Je me souviens, par ailleurs, entre 1989/90 que mes parents avaient offert les cassettes audio de la collection Synthesizer et avec un pote de lycée, dans le bus, on les écoutait. D'ailleurs, c'est Jean-Michel JARRE qui m'a donné cette passion du synthétiseur et de ses merveilleuses possibilité de son et programmation depuis Oxygène et Equinoxe et toute sa période 80's 90's. 🥰🥰🤩

My mom used to offer me each new CD at Christmas back in the 80s/90s. Indeed, they used to release it at Christmas, at least in France. I have listened those CDs so many times ... the music made me dream quite a lot :). Fun fact, I was disapointed to learn, years after, that it wasnt the original version of the songs... But they are still very good version of the titles :).

Aah man, what a treat it was to listen all these oldies. I am a HUGE fan of synth music. I used to own a lot of synth music CD's.
Grew up in the late 70's and 80's. This brings back a lot of memories of those years and the TV shows and artists who originally performed these songs.
Thanks a lot for this upload. Sure will listen this a few times over!

Wenn ich diese Musik höre, dann bin ich hin und weg und den Tränen nahe. Es war in meinem Leben und auch im Leben meiner Brüder so: wir hatten einen eigenen Partyraum, jedes Wochenende war Party (unsere Eltern waren wirklich Engel)! Wir hörten damals alles was die 60er und 70er so hergeben (ich bin 1953 geboren). Auch die deutschen: Kraftwerk, Popolo Vuh, Ash Ra Tempel usw . Jahrzehnte später lernte ich auf einer neuen Arbeitsstelle einen Kollegen kennen, der aus der Tschechei stammte. Er arbeitete wie ich als Konstrukteur und war nebenbei auch Organist und bediente eine alte Hammond, die mir schon mal zur Reparatur gab. Er erzählte mir, dass er in jungen Jahren mit einem Freund die Tschechei verlassen hat, nach Deutschland kam, und zunächst in München sein "Unwesen" trieb und danach in meine deutsche Ecke kam. Sein Freund ging auch weg und ließ sich in Amerika nieder. Mein Kollege hat mir erzählt, wie er hieß: ...Jan Hammer...!!!

Que bien que el señor de nombre MakerfarmNL proporcionó información sobre "Star INC." ya que tuve esto desde 1989 y sobre todo 1990 año en que lo escuché en un especial de radio, amo esto, y aún lo conservo, sobre todo " oxigene imagination" y " the Vangelis magician " de 1992 y 1994 años en que los adquirí, también " Studio team" un estudio español de música electrónica de sintetizador, un compilado de temas increíble, al señor de la información sobre Star INC. le doy las gracias, y a ti las felicitaciones por tu buen gusto sonoro. ❤❤❤❤❤❤😅😅😅😅😊😊😊😊😊😊

This is the work of the Dutch producer / musician and sounddesigner Ed Starink (hence "Star Inc"), who has been the absolute master of making original sounding replica's for decades! In the Netherlands re-creating original tracks is not illegal as long as you hand over the income of all copyrights to the orignal creator(s). Ed Starink also was one of the very few people to own a Fairlight CMI in the mid 1980's. He is IMO one of the most underrated producers of the Netherlands. A true musical (and sounddesign) genius !
