He doesn't hate him though? Rollins has literally given Punk credit for how much he's helped in his career and respects to the point he said it pains to talk bad about CM Punk. Seth said he's not a fan of how he think Punk has changed and they don't necessarily see eye to eye recently, but that doesn't mean he "hates" him.

How I knew that part was a work was he was being held back by Michael Cole of all people and second Rollins is a professional, he isnt gonna pop off where fans could record it. He would address it backstage or on their off camera out of arena time
Edit: just got to the end of the video and you made the same first point 😂

Honestly I think it’s just more than just what happened in those 2 incidents. Honestly I think even back in the shield days they didn’t really like each other but both were professionals and knew that matches between them would be good for business. You don’t have to like someone to work with them and I think that’s the case here. Plus he still acknowledges everything he’s done for him but still doesn’t like him and he’s always done that, however I think they are both just 2 totally different personalities and they both just amplified their dislike for each other with their comments in recent years.

So this is basically like this:
So CM Punk made a comment on a podcast about Mox (Dean) and Tyler (Seth) about being too loyal to the company unlike punk who's having a Rebel'esque persona. There was no issue at that time as there was no any intention to disrespect anyone specially that Punk made a decision to not set his foot into the Promotion so there is no any means that they can interaction with each other or might use that comment as an angle until he "technically" came back in 2019 as a host of a backstage segment owned by Fox so he is technically indirectly working again with the Promotion but in a sense that he is employed with Fox network instead. Phil made a public interest online and Seth uses that as a leverage to create an opportunity for a possible angle that might convince Phil to wrestle once again until Punk sees it in a sense that Seth is using him just for a clout by responding on the tweet stating that Phil wants his journalistic integrity to be intact and made it clear that the segment isn't just like a show on where you come in and shoot some comments and angles, he also called out Tyler by mentioning him that he might need to stop using twitter and also to make himself realize that it is better sometimes to act like a nobody and keep it in silent or be mouthful and remove all the doubts. This is quite reasonable as a response since they suddenly used Phil as a topic just to make a tweet. But instead of being an adult, Tyler reacts negatively and stated that Phil is a coward and made a comment on an interview stating his relevancy with the company, on how Punk is working again with WWE because Fox uses the word "WWE" as a name for the segment in which no sense at all, and bringing up Punk's unfortunate fate in UFC just to make an Ad Hominem response against Phil. As a fan of Tyler Black it makes me feel disappointed in him. He started the issue and harassed Phil online and when Punk responded in a sense that it made Seth burned (no pun intended) then suddenly Tyler got angry about that like a little spoiled brat kid in a mall whining for not having a toy or some sh*t. Punk back in wrestling and suddenly landed on a Promotion that runs by spoiled brat people who don't know how safety works but suddenly doesn't like violence in backstage for no apparent reasons. They terminated punk and for some reasons Seth just slandered Phil on an interview like a bandwagon sourcer in reddit. Phil had plenty of options but since Paul Levesque is in charge of McMahon's promotion, they rehire Phil since they know how Punk works perfectly fine. Seth disapproves of this but he had no choice. Suddenly they settled it backstage and agreed to finally use the heat as an angle because as what Jeff Jarrett says:
"...personal issues bring a lotta money!..."
They made a decision not to create a feud between Punk and the Samoan handed-over G*ysh*t to protect his legacy as McMahon has a great debt with the Samoan Family and to repay it they give every possible opportunity to Leatti (Roman) and instead they decided create an announcement that Phil joining the Annual Grand Battle Royal Stipulated flagship event (Royal Rumble 2024) and hinted a possibility of having a match between Phil Brooks and Seth Rollins.

Seth said worse things about Logan Paul, before having a match with him and going on his podcast. Rollins is always working.
