Hi Martina! Just wanted to say your videos help me so much. I had health issues growing up that went misdiagnosed and therefore were not treated, leading to a lot of suffering. Finally at 30 I was diagnosed with an immune disorder that explains so many of my symptoms and I have finally gotten things under control. Your build a ladder message has been helping me for years. I’m able to get as much done as I can (depending on how I’m feeling) and be productive on “better” days so I can take it easy other days. Thanks for all that you do.

I love Sylvia! She's one of my OG villagers, was a bit sad that you didn't like her at first but glad ur warming up to her! She's not the best looking but I love her voice/theme music and quirky/sassy personality and comments, her baby is so cute, I decorated her house with pastel furniture and gifted her baby items like a crib, hilarious that you thought it was a giant peenXD'

Hey, Martina. Just an FYI: there are TWO 10-point pain scales. The first is subjective (and in my opinion useless, with 10 = worst pain you can imagine), while the second is clinical (1-3 = breathing relieves/helps reduce, 4-6 = meditation relieves/helps reduce, 7-9 = extreme pain, nothing you do mediates anything, excruciating and debilitating, 10 = (almost) pass out from pain.), which seems WAY more useful to me. Sadly doctors assume you use the subjective scale, and I use the clinical, and so they don't understand that if I say 7, it's not 'kinda bad, but he can probably handle it', it's unmanagable without medication, etc.🤦

I also use earphones (westone in ears, with foam ear tips) when i leave the house.
I’m sensitive (all senses), but i also have social anxiety, and a severe cannabis allergy.
Since 2017 my life has been hell living in Canada. I can’t take public transit (even before the pandemic), or even just walk to the store without exposure. I live in a house with no smokers but my neighbours smoke and i am hospitalized regularly. I carry epipen and take daily antihistamines and montelukast for allergic asthma. It barely reduces facial swelling, but since the pandemic started i have only been hospitalized twice. I started working from home (offices have smokers, public transit has a shittonne of smokers).
The allergist i see said a lot of hos patients improved in 2020 because of working from home, less exposure to smoke and scents.
Cannabis smoke is so invasive. It gets inside even when other smoke doesn’t. It’s super hazy from forest fires now, but it doesn’t get inside. Neighbours smoke weed and i swell up and my eyes burn. My skin burns like i have a bad sunburn. On top of eye, lip, and tongue swelling. I had to tale prednisone for 7 days during a bad exposure and i was shocked at how fast it caused weight gain.
If people didn’t smoke it then it would be better. But BC is horrible if you have a cannabis allergy. No multi unit buildings are smoke free. I lived in a condo that was “no smoking of any substance on the property” and someone smoked weed on my floor every night after midnight (before legalization). Stratas and building managers do nothing about it.
I need to move to the forest, which will probably be on fire, and i don’t drive (too many sensitivities), so i have to be close enough to a town to get supplies and services.
