It's strange how so much time has passed since these songs came out, yet when you hear them, it takes you back to 1988 like it was yesterday. 1988 was a great year for music. It had a little something for everyone no matter what genre of music you liked. The lady (Suzi Carr) in "Will to Power" looks like Stevie Nicks to me. When in Rome's song "The Promise" is a song I always have liked from 1988.

Nostalgia is a drug most powerful. Hearing these memories again makes me remember things that carried not only hope but hurt as well. Im understanding more why friends did things and are not here now. In no way I'm saying i feel this way or think its normal. But im looking over my life and its lost potential and get decisions made from dispair. It seems easier on those left behind to grieve once for a lost loved one than to let things keep disappointing everyone with grief from many mistakes.
It makes sense from being 53 and now dealing with love life health financial hardships now. I doesn't make it less painful remembering them. But i feel i understand their reasoning.
This to shall pass.
