19:32 James' scream at the end here is just amazing. Tops off the climax of the song and it leads into an orchestral and beautiful ending. Pretty sure this is only one of three times he's screamed in a Dream Theater song.

Isn't Razor's Edge ( 21:19 ) the most beautiful solo ever written? At least it's my favorite of all time. I listen to it eyes shut, almost crying, hairs risen. It's an experience.

I know it’s cliché to call a song I really like a masterpiece, but the sheer amount of effort, emotion, mixing of genres, and plenty of other factors into this 24 minute long track, it is not only beautiful, this is honest to God one of the best songs ever made.

A masterpiece. Octavarium is to Dream Theater what Echoes is to Pink Floyd.

The bassline around 8:46 is one of the nastiest most beautiful things I've ever heard.

Listening to Octavarium is like having a personal safe place where you can go and just stay for a while.

21:28 until the end is the most orgasmic piece of music ever. The payoff with the reprise of the beginning is my favorite movement of music of all time.

I love how the final lyrics reference all the other seven songs and what they stand for. It’s genius!
