I used to be a functioning alcoholic for over 10 years. I'm 5 months sober now and I'm so glad.⤠I used to wake up every morning and drink all day. Every day. I will say God is so good. 3 yrs sober now. I quit Xmas day 2020. I never had a desire to drink since then. The âhangxietyâ is what did me in. Heart palpitations, dizziness, delayed reactions, and panicking thinking I was gonna die for 2 days sometimes. Wasting away. I compose music and love piano. But days I was hungoverâŚno piano. Iâd sit in my bed order pizza and stare at my phone. What if that was my last day on earth? How pathetic? Listen, Youâre way better off without it. The clarity youâll have, along with the energy to spring right outta bed each morning is the best feeling you can ask for. RememberâŚUntil youâve suffered enough, thatâs when you will quit.
Youâll know when itâs time.
My advice to any of you is to just take a week off. See how you feel. By the 4th or 5th day youâll wake up and be like âwhoa! I feel like really clear right nowâ thatâs all the proof youâll need! That goes to show you how toxic alcohol is on your body. Best of luck to all of you đ
