Do you find that you do not experience a certain emotion until it is extreme, such as a full-blown panic attack or extreme rage? This may be a sign that you have a wounded and repressed emotion stored in mind-body. If so, this session may well help you.
In this, we use hypnotherapy to have a conversation with the emotion as if it were a separate person to you. You can ask them why they appear, why they react in such an extreme way and what they need from you. Together the two of you work out new and healthy ways of expressing the emotion.
The emotion may also show you a moment in time when they first were wounded, and either became repressed and submissive or overactive and over-expressive as a result of this wound.
You learn to realize that emotions can be expressed in many ways and once you agree that you will pay attention to the emotion before it becomes extreme, and then work out healthy expressions of this emotion, you also look at the underlying needs behind this emotional expression.
Finally, you rehearse for success, going over a past emotional event that triggered the emotion and choosing this time to respond in a healthier way.
