"You know you're in trouble when people stop listening to sad music. Because the moment they stop listening to sad music, they don't want to know anymore... They're turning themselves off" - T. Yorke

Just realised the irony of me watching this instead of sleeping.

''When an artist is repeting themselves because they think that's what will people want they're fucked'' - Thom Yorke. I love this man.

He is happy - good. He deserves it. After years of anxiety - he needs a break.

Thom can talk about sleep and naps all day and I'd find it inspiring

Thom Yorke seems like he is doing really well these days. Glad to see him in good spirits.

The last bit made me cry. HE is thanking US for giving this opportunity to HIM, when he has given so much to US. His music has been my best friend at times. It has kept me alive in the darkest times because I didn't feel alone listening to what he was able to articulate. I hope he knows how much what he does matters, and how grateful I am for it.

It's no mystery why Thom is more open and relaxed here. It's the interviewer. Zane is chill, down to earth, present, active listening, and wants to discuss genuinely interesting things. Thom gets scripted stock questions, barely-there interviewers, and star-struck sit-downs constantly. It's boring and exhausting for brains like his. He must be thrilled on the rare day it's not one of those.

I have no idea why watching his face and hearing his voice itself is so inspiring. It makes me feel like something inside me is waking up.

Thom Yorke seems like he's doing really well emotionally and mentally. So smiley, high-fiving the interviewer, laughing. It makes me happy to see him happy.

When you watch to interviews from the post Ok Computer/Kid A era, he looks tired, stressed out and fed up. Now he looks so different, like he is enjoying his life again and in one word, happy.

Now if Jonny becomes this outgoing, I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.

This Thom compared to the 97’ Thom are polar opposites. I can only hope to become wiser and more sure of myself as I get older.

14:40 "I think most artists if they're honest, they're never solo artists" ~Thom Kinda hits home. I've tried to put together so many bands to make music, try something new, not play alone, but a lot of them either wanted to do their own thing, wanted to just party, or weren't really committed (or all 3). There's magic in playing with a band. It has to vibe. It's a relationship and bands fall apart if there's toxic musicians (like playing over other people, not tuning together, or showing up to practice, not practicing, etc). Just like relationships it takes work and effort from everyone which is why it's more honest because when the synergy stops so does the band.

Where normal interviews start with: How's the tour going? This one just starts with two kinds of sleep and the health benefits of napping and Siestas in Southern European countries. I love it.
