I really liked that last question, though. And I think it's because I believe that it came from a place of caring and actually wanting to know, rather than just churning out the same old questions artists answer all the time. She felt sincere and his answer, although reserved, also felt sincere. I got a good vibe, anyway. I hope that he did as well because I know he's not too fond of interviews most of the time.

Mary-Anne Hobbs has had a long, storied career and has interviewed Thom many, many times. I reckon theyâd consider each other as friends. That last question came from a place of empathy and love. Thom replied with clarity and concision; if you can occupy your time with doing what you love, and the people with which you keep company are healthy and prosperous, well, thatâs a good starting point for happiness.
