It's so comforting to see that everyone else understands how different our lives were pre-2020 (ie. before Covid) and how during the summer of 2021 everyone was making an effort to bring back those times or at least adapt to the new circumstances and that's why that summer was really special and this playlist hits so close to home <333

for me, 2021 was like a dream compared to now. i genuinely was getting so much better, i would even say i was having a really good time. now it's all pretty much a blur. i know it wasn't that long ago, but my life has changed so drastically that, for me, december 2021 and january 2022 were polar opposites when i think about it

i miss the summer of 2021. I know that was only like 9 months ago, but goddamn it was amazing. I had friends who I don't have now, and me and this guy met and i swear i thought we were perfect for each other. we would play games with each other everyday, talk and laugh. hes one of the people that i actually felt like i loved who i grew distant to after an argument we had, and now we're different. i came across this playlist a few days ago and i cant stop listening to it. thank you!!

I may not be as happy as I was back then, but I definitely don't want to say that I wish I could go back in time to those days.
some things are better left as a good nostalgic memory.
if we keep replaying it in our lives, we genuinely won't get nowhere.
so just leave it as a memory to play in your head all day, but don't go back to it and look forward to the ones you'll make in the future.

i don't think i remember having a classic, fun summers. i remember spending part of one summer in Russia with my grandparents and going fishing (pre-covid). that was fun, it's one of the moment i'll remember. now my summers are depressing, i stayed inside these last summers. i want to remember this summer, but with everything going on i don't think i'll bother to.

Last summer was the best summer of my life. Me and my friends made an effort to get together once every single week, and we did pretty well with accomplishing that goal. We went on a vacation together, to! We’re a lot closer then we were before, and I don’t mind at all. Those days were the ones I looked forward to the most. We hope to do something like it again this summer. Overall, I think it’s one of the best summers I’ve had.

Honestly, 2019 was the last time I think I truly felt happy. Lately all I want is to lay down and never get back up again, but back then I had real attainable goals and a plan for the future. I dont have that anymore
