Wow... this is the first ELP song I've ever heard in my life. I think I might have just discovered my new favourite band. ...or maybe my second, or third favourite band. It's difficult for me to pick one. But I have a feeling I'll be listening to ALOT of these guys over the course of the next few months.

This and King Crimson where my first 2 Albums not knowing Greg Lake was in both bands . Cosmic Luck. I am 69 now and still loving it.

There is a fine line between virtuosic genius and flamboyant showboating ... and ELP always kept their feet firmly planted on both sides of it. 👍

Folks, here's how somebody once described the late, great K. Emerson: Hendrix on keyboards. I Agree!

Saw them on the Tarkus tour. They played it Flawlessly. Including a fake total blackout of the whole stage system. Greg Lake threw his bass high in the air! Crash! He picked it up Lights came back on… they picked it up on the exact note. Stage magic.

The first time I heard this I was tripping on shrooms and I thought this song was so cool nobody could have made it up, when I sobered up my first thought when hearing this was "what were these guys on when they made this?". Long Live Tarkus!!!!!!!

3 of the best musicians on the planet, together. Keith Emerson, Carl Palmer and Greg Lake (one of the best voices in rock and roll).

Hear lots of cross-fertilization between Tarkus and Jethro Tull, especially THICK AS A BRICK. That was happening at the time....and it was a good thing!

Keith Emerson didn’t get enough credit. Greg Lake’s voice so romantic! Poor Carl Palmer left alone. You had to enjoy classical music to appreciate them. They were amazing band.
