The fact the creator put "handcrafted by" instead of "created" or "produced" just shows how much love he put into this.

I love how around 18:45 the entire forrest goes quiet. You no longer hear the trees blowing in the wind or hear crickets, as the life in the forrest went quiet because they felt a threat. Love the attention to detail.

The reason the apartment looks the same in this game and the ghost sheet game is because they're old Soviet Bloc apartments! Those all had similar if not identical layouts and these games capture the sort of grimy, old feel of them really well

Evelien and Jack both saying "Beam me up daddy" at the starting cutscene is hilarious 😂😂😂

This person played one too many games where the ladder-climbing speeds are painfully slow and they were like, "FUCK THIS SHIT, *LEAP UP THE LADDERS LIKE A FUCKING GRASSHOPPER*"

It's the attention to detail that really sells environments like this. People will argue the whole "it's using haze to cover up blah blah blah", but the fact that at 23:50, they cared to have the long grass fold as the van ran over it instead of just getting clipped through shows the difference in quality from this developer.

32:47 sometimes the best sound design is no sound design, I think everyone would expect an alien spacecraft to make noise as it rockets past at high speeds. Having a massive object like that blast by with only slight breeze is harrowing. This game COMPLETELY subverts expectations, and seriously blew me away. If you ever read this, amazing work Adam.

I've never seen a game do a trailer to the next episode like a movie, having you play a tiny part of it is actually so smart

This is probably the strongest indie game I've ever seen, like...EVER. That ending sequence was absolutely incredible.

I'd say Triple-A studios should hire this guy, but honestly, he should start his own studio. This guy's natural talent backed by a team of even ten other creative minds? Holy crap, it'd be insane!

20:00 I love how Sean was so blown away by the light in the sky he didn't even notice the aliens, it's not the aliens he was fascinated with, it's not the aliens that amazed him, it was "ooo shiny! Graphics pretty!" lmao

The fact that one single person is making this is mindboggling to me. It looks so damn good. It's great that this is getting more eyes on it because it really deserves the attention.

with the double-person scene in the beginning, and her saying she has the same scar, I have a feeling that this "twin sister" is actually herself. like maybe the aliens took a duplicate of her when they saved her and gave her false memories or something? still curious how this story unfolds either way. I'm excited to see more from this dev!

It's actually really cool that the dev made the ball at 9:00 bounce. It's not a big deal and but most games would have had it just roll away or something, and that extra little attention to detail is cool to see on an indie game.

Speaking of kidnapped buses full of children, there's a case from Chowchilla, CA back in 1976 where 3 men stopped a bus full of children and kidnapped them, burying them alive in a bunker to try and get a ransom from the government. They overslept and didn't actually ask for the ransom in time, and the oldest of the kids who was like 14 was the reason they survived because he someone managed to get the top latch off. It's both quite interesting and horrifying at the same time.

I’m not epileptic but flashing lights definitely bother me and it’s unbearable in a dark room while I’m going to bed so thank you so much for the warnings❤️☘️
