Iâd love to see âI spent a day with Residential school survivorsâ
If you donât know what residential schools are they were basically catholic schools where a lot of indigenous children were raped and murdered and I think an episode on survivors would really mean a lot to indigenous people like myself

I dated and almost married a man when I was 18 and he was 39. He groomed me from when I was 16, isolated me from my parents and friends enough that I felt I had no escape and bombed me with love and presents until I thought I loved him. It took 7 years for me to psychologically develop enough to realize our relationship was disgusting and he had a problem. I feel for Markie, it's so hard when you're so young and felt like "wow this older man loves ME, I must be so mature". I'm so glad both of them are safe and thriving now đ

My older brother was sex trafficked 6 years ago.He met this girl and they got together. A few days later he got into her car and she took him to a random house. She led him to a bedroom and when they walked in there were 5 guys in the room. They held my brother down and drugged him. They took turns torturing him burning him with lit cigarettes. When he passed out all 5 took turns on him from behind. My brother was gone for two weeks. The police were looking for him and my family and I were as well. I remember playing outside and I saw him walking the best he could up the driveway. He was bloody from behind him all the way down to his shoes and cigarette burns all over his body even his genitals. We called police and rushed him to the hospital. He was so tore up behind him he needed 100 stitches. They did sexual assault kits on him and found all their DNA. All 5 and even the girl was arrested and put in prison. Iâm thankful my brother was able to escape and still with us today. He still struggles mentally and emotionally about it but we work him through it. It has affected us all in so many ways. Please please be careful who you get in a relationship with! Especially if you havenât known them for long. You never know who they truly are. Stay away from dating apps as well!

I'm ngl I really was under the impression that human trafficking takes people to a separate country "taken" style. It was eye opening to know it can happen in plain sight too. Both the stories were powerful but Jose saying his worst moment was not the SA but his parents kicking him out was the realest moment. It would hurt so much to be rejected by people who are supposed to be your primary foundation in life.

Being 15 and looking for adult affection and approval because of emotional neglect with family led me to kik and finding random older men that treated me in a way I never thought possible. Was in a ârelationshipâ with a 30 year old and he wanted me to run away with him and meet him at a hotel near me. Iâm so lucky my cousin was like ummm no. Because I donât even want to know what would have happened if I didâŚ

It's so sad because the kids that get preyed on the most are the ones who has no support system. All those kids with hovering parents/guardians are the ones traffickers avoid. There is nothing more vulnerable than a child without a protector, and it's depressing and infuriating to see what happens to those unprotected children. The best thing we can do is educate the kids, and I think this is something that needs to be taught in schools.
