This week we sat down with Kate Elysia, who told us how she was groomed by a gang in Telford at 18, and the events that followed. She shared how she managed to find strength to break away from it all and bring her abusers to justice.

Kate's story has really moved us all, and we wish her all the very best in the future.

Why the fuck would a police officer tell someone to say sex was consensual when they came there to report a rape. Those people should be fired.

I hate that she's still doubting herself about who's fault it was. This is terrible. She's so brave to tell her story

The fact that everyone at that party knew what had happened and no one did anything is disgusting. I'm so sorry.

Gosh, I watched this through tears. I am totally shattered. I felt like I just wanted to give her a hug. Every rapist should be castrated.

This was honestly the hardest hitting episode I've ever seen. I am a male, but I was raped many times in my neighborhood where I grew up by this man and his nephew for years. When his wife caught him in the act, they turned me into the one who asked for it and my piece of shit dad forced me to write an apology letter to the family. Edit: I typed this crying in the middle of the video, this woman is so unbelievably strong. I'm so proud of her. This shit home for me more than anything has in a very long time. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel, you can reach it too. What she said about choosing good and positive activities means so much to me. It rings so true. God I love this channel.

Its NOT consenting if you're scared......its survival mode. I really hope she reads these comments and sees the support she has. Sheā€™s really really brave coming out and talking about it. Much respect

Iā€™m so sorry this happened to you. Those people are monsters. And the police officers who blamed you shouldā€™ve been fired.

This is one of the crimes that require death penalty.

the fact she went to the police a second time and got these scummy people jailed is awesome - she didnt give in and that takes an amazing backbone

Hearing her story just highlights why so many women donā€™t report these things. What a disgusting experience she had with the police!

The boyfriend with the unsavoury friends. The little boy at the door, so she'd open it, with the adult male hiding out of view. The foot in the door so she couldn't close it. The boyfriend telling her to let him in. And then he goes out, and deliberately leaves her alone with this man? That all sounds like a plan. And she was targeted for this, some time before the first rape occurred ā˜¹ļø

So brave. She was let down by so many people, including the police. So much respect for her to survive and tell her story with such strength

Rape is not an act of sex Itā€™s an act of violence

This is why we need to castrate rapists and child molesters. What a brave woman you are to tell your story. Iā€™m deeply sorry that you had to endure all of that. I wept with you watching this. I hope your life has nothing but love and happiness in it. Youā€™ve suffered enough ā¤

When she says ā€œmaybe he had a disability etc.ā€ is proof beyond measure of the truthā€¦itā€™s a classic sign of a rape victim. They donā€™t want to believe itā€™s real, they donā€™t want believe there are monsters that big etc. People have no idea, NONE about how victims are so often victimized again and again in pursuit of justice. Itā€™s so unexceptable. I love this woman for all sheā€™s done to fight back.ā¤ļøā¤ļø

Iā€™m a man. I think I am a very normal person, I canā€™t understand how someone may destroy somebody elseā€™s life in this way. I have no words to describe the feeling Kateā€™s testimony has left on me. I have a girlfriend, sisters, mother, a niece, cousins, female friends I appreciateā€¦ and just to think that something like this has happened to a woman just like any of them is absolutely horrendous. Iā€™m glad sheā€™s ok now.

this is why itā€™s so dangerous to have the mindset that conversations about sex, boundaries, consent are inappropriate to have with girls/daughters. This poor women was being terrorized & raped by a group of men and couldnā€™t even recognize that she wasnā€™t giving consent. you can tell itā€™s taken some therapy for her to understand what was done to her. so sad my heart breaks for her.
