I started this channel about 2 years ago, and over those 2 years a lot has happened. Iβve grown up a lot, Iβve learned a lot of things about myself, Iβve loved and lost. A lot of change has happened but this channel has always been a constant and I thank all of you for listening to my playlists and for the nice and supportive messages. I donβt know how long I will continue to post on this channel, or how constant posts will be. This is in no sense a good bye, because I love making playlists, but thereβs also so much in my life I want to share with the world, with you all.
This is just me saying this channel might not just be playlists, but who knows what the future holds. See you guys in the next post :) love you

You no longer fit in your childhood bedroom.
Your bed was slotted neatly under the stanted attic roof. Where you used to be able to jump on the faded quilt for hours, now you couldn't even stand next to it without bumping your head.
Every shelf was coated with dust. It was between the pages of every book that you hadn't read in years. You dusted on the weekends, but it was always quick to return.
You heldat the teddy bear you used to not be able to sleep without, looking much smaller than you remebered and wept for the love that you no longer felt.

Growing up and growing old, the pain of growth ends in my aching knees as I look back in 50 years at the child I am now. At 20, 15 is young, at 30, that 20 year old is too young to be an adult, right? At 70 I will look on myself now and think of the simple times; of being with friends, of finding love, of doing something new. I will look back and mourn the youth I lost, full of tears of joy and tears of grief at the life I had lain. The pain of growth will have brought kids and grandkids, all with lives as intricate and full of wonder as mine was. Growing up and growing old, the pain in my knees will be from the life lived, from adventures exotic, from love found and lost and found and lost. Growing up and growing old, but never too old for some new growth.

But they never explained the pains that come along the way. The agony of experiencing things outside your comfort zone-- the fear, paranoia and toxins that launch at you begging to be acknowledged.
Through the jungle there are poisonous flowers to your left (they look pretty but don't get too close): the vibrant ones will break you and tear you to the skin and bones. Also, a heads up, things you used to find daunting will appear smaller, but at the same time, things you could handle before will leave scars you don't want to acknowledge.
Yes, you will understand when you are older but with experience comes the excruciating growing pains*. It will hurt like nothing else and you'll find it hard to see the opening but just hold on: it gets worse before it gets better, but it *will get better.
