Great song to listen to with earbuds, when feeling anxiety, depression, or just tired. I could sleep to this all night. Interesting how an instrumental can be so powerful and invoke such a range of emotion the more you listen to it. Robert Smith is a genius.

Wish is not recognized enough for being the masterpiece of an album that it is. As a guitarist To Wish Impossible Things changed the way I looked at chord progressions. And A Letter To Elise is so beautiful. But all the B-sides on the singles are so freaking GREAT... This Twilight Garden, Halo, Play, Scared As You, A Foolish Arrangement, and by far the best Cure song ever written... The Big Hand.

This is truly fantastic! I closed my eyes while listening and it seemed like the song could be about a man and a woman at the beach together at night. The man knew this would be the last night they would spend together because he would be breaking up with her in the morning. He lies on the sand beside her and reminisces about all of the time they had together and how bitter it had become. He feels he has no choice but to leave her as all of their painful memories flow through his mind. Even though he can't be with her anymore, he still loves her deep down and is in anguish from having to tell her that he must go in the morning. I must go would be an appropriate title.

Cloudberry from Lost Wishes is one of the greatest pieces of music I've ever heard.
I always wished and wished I could hear a full finished version of it played live. I also wished Robert would just make an instrumental only album, as I know he must have a million little vocalless little riffs and things laying unfinished.
