Never seen Robert in such a dapper look. His messy hairstyle is iconic.

The atmosphere on this one is really something else. One of the best songs i ever heard, top notch bass line and mysterious, meditative vocals.

I’ve been listening to this song for well over 35 years and it’s still epic every time I hear it. The space they created in this masterpiece is second to none and holds true over 40yrs later. Absolute legends.

The Cure understood everything about great music…composition, arrangement, production, emotion.

Come closer and see See into the trees Find the girl While you can Come closer and see See into the dark Just follow your eyes Just follow your eyes I hear her voice Calling my name The sound is deep In the dark I hear her voice And start to run Into the trees Into the trees Into the trees Suddenly I stop But I know it's too late I'm lost in a forest All alone The girl was never there It's always the same I'm running towards nothing Again and again and again and again...

The perfect balance between dark music and a pop tune.

the fact is not that Ben Affleck looks like Robert Smith, but that Robert Smith doesn't look like Robert Smith there.

One of the greatest songs ever produced. You can feel the despair of the protagonist in that final guitar solo as he desperately searches for the girl knowing he'll never find her in that forrest. Absolutely masterful stuff and I'm glad I was able to discover this song recently although I've been listening to The Cure for most of my adult life.

For a song from 1979, way ahead of it's time.

This song is a rare work of art. A sparse mysterious poem overlayed on top of an absolute genius set of guitar tracks that take you on a trip deep into the woods of your own psyche. Robert Smith must have been inspired by an incredibly powerful force to write this. I’ll never grow tired of listening to it.
