"To remember" is a reflexive verb in German: "Ich erinnere MICH."
If you leave out the reflexive pronoun, "erinnern" means "to remind: "Ich erinnere dich an unsere Vereinbarung." - "I remind you of our appointment."

This channel is awesome! It’s entertaining, but it also has plenty of details that are like candy for hard-core language learners: you can drop the ‘e’ of the verb in “Ich erinner’ mich” (easier pronunciation), “Ich weiß nicht mehr” can mean “I don’t remember,” and ‘hierhin’ (not ‘hier’) is used with ‘pinkeln.’ Espero que te hayan gustado las vacaciones en CDMX.
