It’s a very helpful video! Thank-you! I mostly read and study the ESV and the NKJV. I’m looking for a new study Bible since the one I have is a NLT that I got when I came to Faith many years ago. I like it, but am looking to add another in a more literal translation.

My main language is Arabic and I moved to Australia my church still in old English bible(Darby translation) and I want to read bible in English when I started read NKJV but some how started ESV and it is an amazing translation. I’m so happy with it. God bless.

so.... what would be interesting to know is who is on the current translation committee for the ESV. There will be revisions, do you feel comfortable the current people working on those revisions will maintain a Bible you can promote in five years?

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the ESV Bible. Like you, I grew up with the KJV and find the ESV works well as a successor to the KJV. I have the Reformation Study Bible and find it very helpful.

Although my favourite translation is the NIV for its mix of formal and dynamic equivalence, I also use the ESV because I sometimes like to use a formal equivalence translation as well.

I like red letter bibles but in reality ALL the words in the bible came from God so all are inspired. The ESV Study Bible from Crossway is a great study bible.

So i have several bibles my father being a pastor as i eas growing up collected many versions i have yet to read the esv edition it came to me roughly around 2017-2018 it is a 2011 copy. I am coming back to faith after a long time i plan on buying the red sea scrolls bible as well. I've like i said have a full collection including childrens bibles even the gidians hotel bible,a greek and hebrew bible i definitely have nore than ten. I am not necessarily a science is fact person but throught my search as a seeker i found books some that help like conversations with god, and some that delve me into confusion the book creating christ a book and documentary talking about emperor vasepian and josephus changing texts adding prophecies to aligne his deeds as a roman deity, I have watchrd things like the bible code etc ive finally just decided to get down to basics to read a bible. Whether truth or heavily biased and edited, i have a hard time trusting texts of well humans lol

I'm blind, so I use a Bible app, especially the audio Bibles. I use the NIV as my main Bible translation because I like its balance between formal and dynamic equivalence. However I sometimes use the ESV, I like to compare it with the NIV.
