I encourage people to use a translation which helps them understand the bible. Bible reading should be a daily practice and enjoyable for the whole family. Thank you for sharing this video about the ESV.

so.... what would be interesting to know is who is on the current translation committee for the ESV. There will be revisions, do you feel comfortable the current people working on those revisions will maintain a Bible you can promote in five years?

It’s a very helpful video! Thank-you! I mostly read and study the ESV and the NKJV. I’m looking for a new study Bible since the one I have is a NLT that I got when I came to Faith many years ago. I like it, but am looking to add another in a more literal translation.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the ESV Bible. Like you, I grew up with the KJV and find the ESV works well as a successor to the KJV. I have the Reformation Study Bible and find it very helpful.

Esv on my list, but looking at the Cepher. Gets old looking up which version of God is being used.

I like red letter bibles but in reality ALL the words in the bible came from God so all are inspired. The ESV Study Bible from Crossway is a great study bible.

When I was deciding on which translation to choose for my first Bible, it was between NIV and ESV. I ended up getting the NIV because I was more familiar with it. When I use my Bible, I always reference the ESV, NiRV and NKJV. I'm looking for a study Bible and have been leaning towards the ESV. Thanks for the recommendation!

Although my favourite translation is the NIV for its mix of formal and dynamic equivalence, I also use the ESV because I sometimes like to use a formal equivalence translation as well.

I stared my ESV Bible when i was a baby-baby christian because i was so young that time, and I only easily understand the ESV Bible. But now as I'm growing I'm studying the different versions of the Bible🤍

Is someone who is visually impaired I'll say this about crossway in the ESV. They have very few options for people in my condition. Right now currently they have a 12-point font which is considered large print and then they go straight to a 17.5 font. That leaves 13 and 14 and 16 in between. Why they don't offer them in these other configurations when every other translation on the face of the planet from every other publisher that's reputable has them is an absolute melon scratcher

I'm blind, so I use a Bible app, especially the audio Bibles. I use the NIV as my main Bible translation because I like its balance between formal and dynamic equivalence. However I sometimes use the ESV, I like to compare it with the NIV.
