What a gem. The Supremes are timeless for me, such great songs. I’m a big MoTown fan, that’s probably why I immediately recognized him.

So funny that Kitty Carlisle told Orson Bean she didn't know who Dallas Burroughs is!

FYI: This is an extremely RARE occurrence in 1960's TV presentations. The singers of their songs get to sing LIVE to the BACKING TRACK of their hit records. In most cases on most 1960's music show TV presentations, all you would ever get would be the singers "LIP-SYNCING" to their records. In this case, you are HEARING the actual voices of Diana Ross, Florence Ballard and Mary Wilson actually SINGING LIVE to the instrumental backing track of their records. VERY RARE, indeed.

The real Berry Gordy did an EXCELLENT job of acting hesitant and befuddled while still telling the truth, thus throwing the panel off the scent. Of course, he didn't just create The Supremes, he also helped create a baby with Diana Ross, so Kitty wasn't so far off in her assessment of him!!

The Supremes are indeed legends of the music industry. It was great seeing them perform live. Having Orson's I mean Dallas' Dad on was great too.

To this day since I was a little teenager I have always adored Diana Ross. She has never been out of my constant play lists. She is simply magnificent and beautiful.

The "Motown" sound was unique in Rock-and-roll history, You couldn't do it today.
