A great conversation! Thanks for uploading this. And the things she says are often so beautifully put. One criticism would be though is that there was a big difference with the mic volume so I had to turn it up everytime you talked and turned it down when she did. But overall I was so happy to listen to this 🙏

Kinda mind blown that in Argentina they actually support utilizing therapy, to the point where people think it's weird to not do it. I think people here accept therapy but in the same way they accept charity. Like, its shameful and it makes you weak to use it, but sometimes it's just a necessity? I would say half of the things I learned in therapy could help literally everyone. Hopefully we will get to where Argentina is someday. I do disagree that knowing your roots is important. I think your roots are just a way for the past to try to control your future. Culture doesn't need to be studied, it is all around you. And whether your family is full of kings or peasants, you are you and the modern world has its own unique set of problems.

7:40 Sorry, but I disagree here. You SHOULD talk to your family and friends about your problems. I'm not really into the culture of sitting with a stranger to fix my problems. This whole system is messed up honestly. To begin with, most of the common psychological issues stem from this lonely individualistic society we live in, where the bonds between family members and friends are superficial. Back in the day, the normal thing was to consult your parents (if they're fit ofc), then siblings, friends, uncles, aunts, etc. Nowadays it's weird that the first person to come to mind is "A therapist" that I don't know. Sure, there can be certain issues that only trained, capable therapists can do. But aside from these rare cases, people should consult and talk to their family and friends to deal with their issues. You call that therapy in today's world, which is something being separated and given a whole new usage nowadays.
