I just realized I've done all of this without even studying. What a natural born sailor I am

Cleaned my whole house just to spite you. It took 8 hours and now I'm even more unhappy.

This guy helped me more in 6 minutes than my therapist did in 3 years!

I watch this frequently. The reverse psychology works a lot better for me than some random guy saying "You can do it".

Watched this video a couple of month ago - fixed my sleep cycle, started doing my work in the library not my room, set realistic measurable, started exercising more and stopped worrying so much about things I couldn't change. I'm quite happy and am feeling a lot better than I was before - thanks for the video. I think portraying it as 'do this to maximise sadness' rather than 'don't do this to be happy' makes the message a lot more palatable and lets it sink in easier

"Be well informed, while doing nothing." This hits a little too hard.

The sad part is that this video basically summed up my everyday routine and I'm not even trying to maximize misery

Sometimes I forget that there are mentally healthy people who don't do this unconsciously.

Some more pointers: true misery doesn’t come from constantly torturing yourself. Your brain will adapt to anything as long as it’s consistent. Feed it just enough hope to have its longings crushed every so often and you’ll never feel a moment’s reprieve.

This video made me clean my entire apartment, and feel immense satisfaction about it. 0/10, I want my money back.

You missed another really good tip: Spend as much time as possible reflecting on the past. Look at the fun times you had in the past and think about how impossible they are now because your life has changed. Look at the bad times you had in the past and try to work out how they were your fault or how they mark general trends in your life.

Thanks a lot for making this video. Before I was a really happy person, but after watching this and following all of your steps, I feel much worse! Great video!

The best part about this video is that it tells you what you NEED to hear but don't want to in a way that is fun and respectful enough to maintain the listener's interest.

0:20 #1 live a sedentary lifestyle and don't go outside much. 0:57 #2 Have an irregular sleep cycle for example never be consistent with your waking and sleeping time. 1:50 3# Maximus your screen time. 2:30 4# Feel anxiety and fear over things you have no control or influence over, being well informed while doing nothing and if you decide to contribute make sure it's meaningless. The things you care about could be a reason to leave your house and take meaningful connections with the people around you. 3:26 #5 To reach goals they must be Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Responsible, Time-Bounded.Instead set your brain on V.A.P.I.D. goals which stands for Vague, Amorphous, irrelevant, pie in the sky, delayed.Make the goal and path unclear.if you have motivation set unrealistic goals.Try to achieve the goal whenever you want don't set deadlines. With vapid goals you will turn the productive part of your brain from a dangerous source of self-improvement that rewards every small step into a consistent nag that brates you for your failure to have already accomplished your goal every step of the way. 4:45 #6 Pursue happiness directly instead of letting it happen to you naturally. 5:23 #7 Always follow your instincts.
