I visited Tasiilaq, Greenland, which has a high suicidal rate. I explored the town, and heard people's stories.

i'm from greenland. we have high rates of suicide because of the lack of mental health facilities and also activites for kids and teenagers. this is also why crime rate is high, people have nothing else to do.

"We don't have to talk about this if you don't want to." Thank you for caring about the people you interview.

I loved how sincere the creator of this film was. He could immediately pick up on the sadness of the gentleman despite his smiles. What an amazing soul.

I grew up in Alaska, this resonates a lot, the dark winters, the cold, nothing to do and many turn to drinking and it spirals from there. I think people who haven't lived in these kinds of places struggle to understand how much an effect constant darkness can have.

I like your interviewing style. You dont dominate the filming. You let the environment and its people speak for themselves.

6:12 When you offer up your home to a complete stranger, take them on a tour, invite them into your family and have them over to celebrations, only to say in despair: “I want to be a good person.” That line really hit hard. To have that much evidence that your heart is filled with kindness and you have so much to good to offer the world, yet somehow convinced that the world would be better off if you were never born. That’s the real difference between sadness and depression, at least to me anyway.

theres such a sad energy coming from the whole town, you can tell how it's a constant cycle. being that the population is so small, probably every single person that inhabits it knows at least one person who has committed suicide :( they continue despite carrying that grief, i cant even imagine the guilt of wanting to move away but cant because your whole family lives there, or you know someone who's died there and you don't want to leave them be. It may be a beautiful place, but it carries such sad stories

I saw this vlog several months back. The pain and depression of this person has been kind of permanently etched in my mind. Every once in a while his words pop-up in my mind. I just want to say to the people living in such harsh conditions especially the person in the video that sir you are not alone. You have now a new friend thanks to this young vlogger. I can't do much but I request you to please never forget that people like me are with you in your journey of life. God bless everyone. Keep fighting. You are a hero.

As someone who struggles with seasonal depression, I can see why people who live in cold and dark places may feel a lot more depressed than others. Even when I feel absolutely awful, standing outside in the sun has always helped, even if just a tiny bit. I can't imagine what it's like to live in such a secluded and dark area

"Just talk about feelings." It sounds so simple but it is actually the root of a lot of male depression. Talking about your feelings isn't weak and it isn't pathetic. It's actually one of the hardest things you can do. It takes balls to be able to open up and speak about how you feel. If you feel lonely, or if you are feeling like you don't matter, do what Vittus has done and find a way to talk about how you're feeling, you'll be amazed how much you have to share.

It is sad more people won’t see this due to it being flagged as sensitive content. Which it truly is but it is the kind that needs to be heard. I’m lucky enough to see a snippet on Snapchat and came to YouTube to get the full thing. True quality and moving content. It is not about how viral your content is but how valuable and there is true value in this.

What a kind soul this man is. I hope his environment doesn’t consume him someday. I truly hope he finds happiness again

I spent two weeks in Greenland and it was surreal. The scenery is out of this world but what's striking is how tiny we are in such vast landscapes, so sparsely populated. We spent a few days in one of the biggest towns (just a few thousands inhabitants) but quickly you had seen everything. I understand how they can feel trapped, and also the lack of sunlight in winter is challenging for physical and mental health. But oddly, everyone seemed so happy. We had the chance of attending a concert, and they were all dancing and smiling. Everyone was so welcoming, engaged in conversation with us, or just greeted us as we walked the streets.
