Hello guys, I just wanted to give you all a quick update on the status of the channel for this year. I am still planning on uploading lots of free tutorials on the channel, however I have been busy the past couple of months working on my survival game course, hence why the lack of uploads. I bought your survival game course, absolutely amazing, love it! Regarding the channel? Hmm, maybe a tutorial series using the unreal Paragon assets? I mean its worth millions, so it would be cool to see a showcase of what those assets are capable of. A grenade tutorial would be awesome too lol, cant really find any high quality ones regarding this topic on youtube. Aaaand ehm... A simple oldschool RTS game with base systems like building, combat, gathering and unit control? Oh, and if we are at RTS games, a fog of war system please. There is literally no fog of war tutorial on the internet that works :D

Best of luck with everything. I'll be watching! Something I'd love to see is how to maintain variables through deferent levels and how to set a spawn point different than the "player start" when going back to a previous level. These could be worked into any video about making a game. Happy 2023!

I thnik to keep with the style you like with 1-2hr videos for 1 game how about either looking at top sales list on steam and making a game based on it (basic systems feel), or how about making modern version of old classic games - these tend to be smaller and you can use new engine tech to bring them into 2023!
Old game like Croc, Spyro, Crash bandicoot or destruction derby!
Also id love to see videos on making simple single player projects into multiplayer or videos on dedicated servers, these topics lack videos the most but are sought after!

I'm very pleased with the course so far, I always focused more on the art side of things and not so much underlying mechanics, and then found myself stuck thinking I could use paid "templates" but didn't understand things well enough to drastically modify them to my liking. That has changed.

I would love to see a good in depth tutorial on a procedurally generated biome world, also a elden ring, god of war type of game making tutorial would be awesome to see. Also you could go in depth with assets and how to use them

I am loving your survival game course so far thanks SmartPoly, as I want to make my own survival game. Having never learnt a coding language, personally it would be nice to get the odd video on how/why/what goes through your head when you plan out these systems. I tend to understand why you do things in retrospect but a little more theory on that coding brain/organisation or how you plan/build for networking would be great.

Just finishing up the zombie tutorial and I liked it enough to get the survival course. That's gonna be fun. I'd love to see a souls-like game tutorial next. Maybe using ALS V4? And gore! Some blood niagara VFX! Keep up the great work!

Hello. the three tutorials I would like to see in 2023 would be a grid system, like in games like Xcom or in the strategy genre. Based on that, a tutorial on pathfinding with A*/dijkstra would be great. And the third would be a tutorial on an arcade racer ala Revolt, F-Zero or Mario Kart.
I'll keep my fingers crossed then XD

honestly ur tutorials are gold, i purchased the survival course.. my only wish is to see a thorough souls-like game tutorial course next, its fine if its a paid course or chunks of souls-like mechanisms are uploaded on yt if u want to make free content. Souls-like genre has become a thing after Elden Ring won GOTY.
