The CEO and other developers came out against some of Fredrik's statements and said they are looking into more fixes with enemy health/amour, spawn rates, and weapon solutions for heavily armored targets in the next hotfix. It's minor patch with a massive overaction on both sides. Continuing to be outraged after the fact is a bit embarrassing. Honestly I kinda wish they replaced "armor piercing" with "armor breaking" so you can break armor even with weapons not intended for it. Just at a slower pace.

I did notice the game suddenly felt harder yesterday, and it didn't seem like it was because of the weapons. There just seemed to be far more enemies. Normally my friends and I can mop em up pretty well, but they just kept coming. It seemed like we'd be stuck fighting for nearly 10 minutes at a time with no ability to progress on the same difficulties I used to be able to solo. Now two of us can barely scrape by on level 6 difficulty.

Tbh the overspawning of enemies was an issue in the original Helldivers as well, higher difficulties required anti-tank weapondry but you'd often run outta ammo within the first few minutes of a mission. Alot of what I saw was people essentially trying to stealth the missions more often, but when you have multiple patrols literally spawning right behind, infront, and to either side of you every ten seconds it gets more tedious then intense.

Im personally fine with the weapon nerfs and buffs but wtf is up with the difficulties now? The bug breaches and bot drops are RELENTLESS in 7-9.

I think the main reason people play 7 is because of supersamples. My guess is 6 or 5 will become more popular when people max out ship upgrades as you can experiment and play with fun builds on those levels.

"Always played with the railgun in unsafe mode, I didn't notice any change"? Spore structures went from 4 overcharged shots to 7. 10 uncharged to destroy it now. Two normal charge shots to a Chargers leg to 3 overcharged shots. Lost count of the amount of laps and resupplies, but I trailed a Bile Titan for over 10 minutes and I believe over 40 railgun shots into the face before it was killed. After hitting it with a Orbital Railgun, the second titan went down in 20 shots... that is a fully loaded Railgun. These are very noticeable changes.

Chargers are literally broken. They run at you sideways, instantly regain momentum sometimes. Bile Titans slow you down with their spit while missing you.

Why did they hide the enemy changes from the patch notes. They say call in stratagems but let us add a meteor shower and scramble while you are trying to do that.

it's a pain in the ass when It went to 500 enemies on Helldive mode on defense missions with a dozen bile Titans and no balance to increasing turret damage armor or health or ammo or even reducing the cooldown time to strategems.

"Use arc thrower or flamethrower" meanwhile you're on your very last reinforce because you and the others keep killing each other from AOE or lightning chain. People are likely to kick if you cover everything in fire or it's the 7th time you chain-killed them

There is just something odd about railgun bullets bouncing off armor. Never was a railgun user myself, but we had one on our team and we were able to at least do suicides to get our pink samples. Now we cant reliably get through extremes. Whether or not I need to "get good" or not doesn't matter because I am not having fun anymore.

The weapon changes aren’t even a big deal, but it feels like the enemy units got buffed out of control. The waves are huge and relentless. Extreme feels harder than Helldive now.
