One thing that lives rent free on my mind is back when someone complained about HD2 having no pvp, and when the head of Arrowhead explained to him that they didn't want pvp because it brings out the worst in people, immediately the same guy replied with "u scared, bro?"

The "I have unlocked all so whats the point in continue playing - argument" is something I will never understand. The game has not changed for me since I have unlocked all content. There is still the same goal for me: together with other helldivers to spread democracy and liberty in an epic galactic war

this explains exactly why I love this game. I am a single father of 3. Working and parenting full time doesnt leave a lot of spare time to keep up in competitive games and honestly... I'd just tather not stress myself out more with what little time I have to game and enjoy myself. HD2 is a great mix of chaos and chill that allows jt to be both stressful and fun and whatever measure or balance you're feeling like at the time.

Had a guy reply to me on another video calling my 200hrs of gameplay fake and he 200% guarantees I don’t even have 20 hours because “there’s nothing else to unlock it’s not fun anymore”. In response to him and everyone similar - I play games for fun. Not everyone needs to watch numbers get bigger to have fun in a game. Helldivers 2 is raw, unadulterated fun every time I play even beyond 200 hours.

I am 41. I haven't had this much fun playing with three friends since I was convinced to play L4D. I'm having way more fun with Helldivers 2 though; the amount of interaction the Galactic War gives the community as well as the in-built light-hearted role-play just makes me grin whenever I hear the anthem start up. It really is something special, and I would normally have a hard time ascribing 'special' to a video game at this point in my life.

Helldivers 2 is game made for me. I want to play a game to relax after long day of work but games these days just make me angry because they are too competitive. Helldivers 2 is full of dopamine boost, its not competitive, its fun, its serious, there are no real world symbolisms that ruin the imersion and when Im done playing, I am not mad. I am happy. And thats what games should be about.

I played HD1 before HD2 was even announced, and just looking at HD2, theres a shitload of new stuff already. I honestly cannot wait to have a system capable of playing the game.

I'm one of those players. I hate COD now. All those super competitive shooters just miss for me. This is the first game I've been genuinely excited for in close to a decade.

I play games purely for the gameplay and for the feeling of "the rush" they give you. Playing Helldivers 2 on the higher difficulties gives me that feeling. Usually only competitive FPS and soulslike games give me that feeling.

I like class systems, but it kind of flies in the face of the idea that your Helldiver is just body being thrown into a war and it doesn't matter if he lives or dies.

You've just hit all my gripes right on the money. As I'm growing older, I no longer have the patience or time to compete in competative shooters. Not to mention the insane amount of toxicity I've been exposed to over the years. The cooperative nature of Helldivers 2 is a breath of fresh air and I'm loving every minute of it.

I play both HD2 and Destiny 2 and I’ve noticed that when I log onto D2, I feel this since of a chore having to play to catch up to the current required light level so that I can play the end content. Where as when I’m playing HD2 it’s almost relaxing playing Tier 8 an 9 which sounds crazy but something about it is just more fun and enjoyable. Plus you can play higher Tiers in HD2 being “lower ranked” and still keep up.

Just did my first lvl 7 bot mission on a 2 man squad. Actually felt like a Spartan for the first time since halo 2 came out freshman year of highschool. This game is by far the most fun ive had playing a game in a long time. FOR SUPER EARTH!!!
